At the invitation of the French embassy in Canada, Savin Yeatman-Eiffel gave several Eiffel – Higher and higher themed conferences at the French speaking schools of Ottawa: to the 13-year old students of the lycée Claudel and to the 17 year-old and 18 year-old students of Franco-Cité. It was a rich experience for all, and a perfect way to introduce these students to the exiting life and works of the famous engineer.
These presentations were followed Friday evening by a screening in Gatineau’s city hall of Savin’s documentary “Eiffel, la guerre des tours / Eiffel, the towers’ war”, followed by a discussion with the audience. The city’s Deputy Mayor as well as the French Embassy’s Chargé d’Affaires also attended.
